On 25th August 2010, MEDTECH Club had organized Annual General Meeting 2010 as the platform to introduce MEDTECH Club to UTP students and also to announce the new line of High Committees of MEDTECH.

The meeting was started with opening speech by the emcee and followed by the speech of Acting President of MEDTECH (09/10), Mohamad Faizal Azri bin Azahari. He welcomed the audience and introduced the club to the audience. Then, the advisor of MEDTECH, Mr. Khairul Badrisham Bin Ramly gave his speech. He shared his experience of being an advisor and also gave some advices and reminder to all of the students. Next was the speech by Secretary I, Shadiqin Binti Firdus on the events organized by MEDTECH Club throughout 2009 and semester January 2010.

Then, the result of the election was announced by emcee. Below are the positions and names of the new High Committees of MEDTECH:

Vice President :Azrul Azwar Bin Samsuddin
Secretary I :Nurarina Binti Mohd Said
Secretary II :Siti Nazira Binti Mohd Som
Treasurer :Amir Ehsan Bin Mohamad

The event was held at Kampung Kuak Hulu, Pengkalan Hulu, Perak. The event was held annually in villages in Malaysia to help villagers and to build awareness to the students.

UTP Media and Technology Club (MEDTECH) was requested to assist the committees in handling technical equipments.

MEDTECH had sent five representatives to be in Audio Visual and Technical (AVTECH) team. The AVTECH team was required to help in setting and handling the equipment during the event held. AVTECH also had to do photography, photo compiling and printing the foster families’ photo.

Other than that, AVTECH also took video coverage to make montages. Four main video montages were required to be made during the five day event which consists of the Opening montage, Malam Aspirasi montage, Smiley video, and Closing montage.

The AVTECH team also took the opportunity to treasure the moments and happiness faces of the committees, teachers, students and foster families by taking photos and videos and expressing them in the Malam Aspirasi montage and Smiley montage.

As an appreciation towards the foster families, a frame of family photo with their foster children and a DVD included the pictures and montages had given to foster family as a gift to remember the times that all the families and committees had together.

This national level competition involved international students from higher learning institutions in Malaysia.

UTP Media and Technology Club (MEDTECH) had been requested to produce the opening and closing montage. MEDTECH had sent six representatives as photo coverage for all seven games which were Futsal, Basketball 3 on 3, Volleyball, Tug of War, Netball, Sepak Raga Bulatan and Team Relay as well as video editors for the montage.

The congress was held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and involved 1,200 experts from the science, engineering fraternity for a biennial gathering of presentations, lectures, panel discussions and debates on research and innovation.

UTP MEDTECH Club had sent six representatives to join as photo coverage during the event including the parallel session, congress dinner and closing ceremony.

UTP MEDTECH Club also had given an opportunity to produce a corporate montage for closing ceremony on the last day of the congress.

Together with all medtech committees 09/10 , MEDTECH Appreciation Night 2010 was held at Restoran Simpang Tiga, Ipoh.

It is a certainly a memorable night for us as a family to spend not just a normal buffet dinner but also having fun catching up each others stories and of course, doing what we love to do, snapping tons of photos.

The dinner was exclusive with the presence of our honorable advisors, Tuan Haji Mohd Noor Rosli B. Baharom and Mr. Khairul Badrisham along with ITMS staffs.

It has been an awesome journey for 2009/2010 committees, every department has played their roles, and with God’s will, next semester, we’ll elevate the standard and services of MEDTECH.

Best of luck to the members that are graduating and internship, not forgetting the rest of committees, excel in Final Exam !

To honour and appreciate their hardwork, on (insertdate), Medtech Crew Family Day was held to cherish the bonding between themselves.

Family day is all about having fun, you name it, snapping photos, candid pictures, and laugh out loud. In the end of the day, everyone had fun, bonding got stronger and sense of proud to be part of Medtech Family as a whole instilled in each of them.

Objektif:

1. Menjadikan nasyid sebagai satu alternatif hiburan yang berlandaskan syariat Islam untuk masyarakat kampus Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS dan warga penduduk di sekitarnya, yang dapat mendidik jiwa para pendengar ke arah nilai – nilai murni.
2. Membolehkan para pelajar kampus dan warga penduduk sekitar mengenali artis – artis nasyid tanah air dengan lebih dekat.
3. Mengeratkan hubungan silaturrahim antara pelajar, staf dan kakitangan, dan warga penduduk di kampus dan kawasan sekitar melalui aktiviti yang dijalankan.
4. Memberi pendedahan kepada para pelajar khususnya ahli jawatankuasa penganjur untuk mengendalikan aktiviti – aktiviti persatuan sekaligus melahirkan pelajar – pelajar yang berkebolehan dalam bidang akademik dan ko-kurikulum.

On the 13^th- 18^th of March – Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) held an event, Titian Budi at Kampung Bukit Pulau, Bukit Katil, Melaka. Titian Budi is an event organized by the Student Representative Council of UTP (SRCUTP) or better known as MPPUTP.

It is an event held annually in villages in Malaysia to help the villagers and eases their burden by carrying out gotong-royong and motivational talks for the children, to name a few, while sharing knowledge and experiences.

Throughout the event, the Media and Technology Club (MEDTECH) was requested to assist the committees of Titian Budi in handling technical equipments.

Five representatives from MEDTECH were chosen as AVTECH, to help out the committees throughout Titian Budi 2010. Basically, the AVTECH team was required to help out on everything that is related to media, from equipment handling to carrying out the event itself, from photography to compiling and printing the photo, and from video capturing to making montages. Four main video montages were required to be made during the five day event which consists of the Opening montage, Hari Mesra Kampung montage, Smiley video, and Closing montage.

The AVTECH team also took the opportunity to treasure the moments the Titian Budi committees had with their foster families by taking photos and videos and expressing them in the Smiley video and Closing montage.

As an appreciation towards the foster families, who worked hard in taking care of the committees’ welfare, a photo of each family with their foster children were framed and given as a gift to remember the times the family had together.

MEDTECH Team TEC X (MTTX) is a new team established by the UTP Media and Technology Club (MEDTECH). This team has been introduced during the TEC 2010 which is held on the 30^th and 31^st March at the Chancellor Complex as MEDTECH also became one of the exhibitors.

MTTX has been collaborated with the TEC X committees for the video coverage during the TEC’s event. The main objective of creating this new team is to bring MEDTECH club to a higher level; that is the business area.

MTTX is the team that introduced to the UTP students and also the outside community about the services provided by the MEDTECH club.

There were five types of services that MEDTECH offered such as photography, video coverage, montage production, technical crew and equipment rental. There were also certain types of packages for all of the services to make the clients feel more satisfied.

Besides, the team also promoted the services to the companies who are involved in the other exhibitors of TEC X instead of the outsiders, school’s student and also UTP’s student.

The booth closed on 31^st March 2010 at 4.30pm. Lastly, special thanks to everyone that involved in ensuring the success to achieve the objectives of this event.
