Event Mangement Seminar 2011 serves the purpose to guide the participants on how to run the events smoothly, systematically and professionally. As it has been reaching its 6th year for 2011 session, we are going to expand our capability as the students from other universities will also be invited to participate as well. This seminar consists of modules in the form of talks and workshops where participants will be exposed about the basics of the event management skills.

Media Tour 2011 has the objectives of providing exposure to UTP students specially, on how multimedia is applied in real-life situation (broadcasting, animation, publication and production). Apart from that, the tour also, the tour will help to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in multimedia. and participants would be able to gain experience in handling cutting edge equipments which are not available in UTP.

Cybergen 2011 is  the  third  batch of a brand new event, replacing Cyber Kids which is basically have the same target but at the same time has been enhanced to make sure that more people will get the benefit from this event. For more info, visit http://cybergen.medtech.org.my/

Medtech Recruitment Drive is one of the our major events as we are searching for new faces to join us in the venture of media and technology in UTP. It is a tradition where the previous committees who are doing their internship or graduating soon will give way to suitable candidates to fill up their spots. So, this is the golden opportunity that one should grab to be part of one of the main clubs in the university ! Here are the departments that we are going to offer :

- Creative Multimedia Department or commonly refer as CMD is a department which are responsible for the main designs of the club. The department consists of Promotion and Publication (P&P – design team), Photography Team (photo team), Video Team (in charge of montage and videos), and Web Team(in charge of the website and content).

- Finance and Marketing Department or commonly known as Economy Department is a team which will handle the financial matter as well as responsible for generating money and promoting events organize by the club.

- Corporate Communication Department , also known as Public Relation Department is the one will be responsible for relationship between other clubs or organization as well dealing with future contacts or sponsors in general.

- Crew Development Team or commonly known as CD department, incharge in the management of crew. It also will monitor the technical performance of crews such as floor manager, stage manager, prompter, lighting and also audio. Not only that, CD department also incharge in assigning crews on duty or we call as COD. This department usually will organize activities for crews to improve their performance in the other field of technical skill, such as photo outing and also video coverage.

Objektif:

1. Menjadikan nasyid sebagai satu alternatif hiburan yang berlandaskan syariat Islam untuk masyarakat kampus Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS dan warga penduduk di sekitarnya, yang dapat mendidik jiwa para pendengar ke arah nilai – nilai murni.
2. Membolehkan para pelajar kampus dan warga penduduk sekitar mengenali artis – artis nasyid tanah air dengan lebih dekat.
3. Mengeratkan hubungan silaturrahim antara pelajar, staf dan kakitangan, dan warga penduduk di kampus dan kawasan sekitar melalui aktiviti yang dijalankan.
4. Memberi pendedahan kepada para pelajar khususnya ahli jawatankuasa penganjur untuk mengendalikan aktiviti – aktiviti persatuan sekaligus melahirkan pelajar – pelajar yang berkebolehan dalam bidang akademik dan ko-kurikulum.
